In the stamping process for the F-150, Ford recycles as much as 20 million pounds of aluminum per month, the automaker recently announced. Using a state-of-the art closed-loop recycling process developed in partnership with aluminum suppliers, the company recycles enough scrap aluminum to produce the equivalent of 30,000 F-150 SuperCrew bodies each month—including doors, hood, tailgate and a 6.5-foot cargo box.
