EPA, NHTSA and CARB See Aluminum As Key To Meeting 2025 Targets

The technical assessment of the 2025 fuel economy and emissions standards recognizes mass reduction with aluminum as an important part of the larger multi-material strategy automakers will use to meet objectives safely and affordably. As automakers develop mobility solutions to meet the needs of a fast-changing world, the aluminum industry is supporting their efforts by developing advanced alloys that are stronger, more formable and manufactured with sustainability, efficiency and value in mind.
